Waste of time and boring....

This storm is so disappointing. Everyone made a huge deal about it and the news is trying to turn it in to a big story but the truth is it’s not really that big of a deal, a few branches got knocked off trees and some stuff flew around, big deal! I was kind of nervous that the storm might cause a lot of damage but at the same time there was that exciting feeling that a storm was coming, and threw the storms I’ve always had this thrill feeling, and especially after the storm when you get to see the destructive power of mother nature, it just makes you feel in awed and thrilled. But this storm is not weak enough to be safe, and not strong enough to be excited about. My dad is out side filming right now and all my neighbors are outside talking and enjoying themselves, meanwhile ever friggian store is closed and most of my friends don’t want to go out so I’m stuck in boredom. We also went through all the work to shore up the house and put up our shutters and buy supplies for nothing, but I guess it does pay to take precautions. Home Depot, hardware stores, and grocery stores made a lot of money this week, their the only ones happy. So now I'm just sitting in my room bored with everything still closed even though the winds are down to under 50MPH! Peace out.

  • Hey Justin

You should feel fortunate the storm didn't hit you hard.
My friends in West Palm Beach weren't so lucky, the roof of their church, The International Covenant Centre, was ripped off and the church is a wreck so any prayers for those guys would be appreciated.

I guess storms change in intensity and you had a weak bit, but I know lots of people who would have been pleased for that. Still, at least none of them were hurt and I know they'll come back stronger than ever.

    Peace out dude

  • hey justin...it's kinda funny that you would have such a "not-impressed" attitued on these hurricanes...hehee!

The closest i have ever gotten to a hurricane was while watching Twister (the movie)...damn, they did a good job making it seem real!!
